Great place for a family gathering by Michelle & Clyde 08/31/2020
Great place for a family gathering. Everything you would want in the big kitchen, outdoor gas grill. Deer traversing the creek cutout right by the barn. Would definitely stay here again!
Wish it was warmer by Junelle 06/12/2019
The trigger room was aesthetically pleasing. The room had it’s own theme. I wish this place was a bit more warmer. It does have a heater, but it does not make the make-shift kitchen and bedroom warm at all. You are only able to turn the dial to 2. I recommend bringing warm clothes. The bathroom was really cold. The shower itself has metal sheets as walls, letting the cold air in. There is hot water though! It’s a cool-looking Airbnb, but I would rather stay in a warmer place or next time I’ll bring warmer clothes!
Unique in the best sense of the word!! by Judy 12/28/2018
Unique in the best possible sense of the word. Photos don't do it justice. We enjoyed our stay and were grateful to find it last-minute when we grew too exhausted to continue driving. The property is wonderfully natural and serene. We stayed in the Trigger room. Comfy bed, every amenity we could want, and easy for our two dogs (who have their own beds). I'm not sure what the other reviewer meant by "pet stuff" but our room and the property were spotless and quiet. It was easy to walk our dogs. There's a large common space with a full kitchen, but our room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and private bath. We only used the common area to saute something and wash a few dishes. We were cold with just one wall heater near our door, but it's a cold November and we're used to keeping our own thermostat at 72. And this was the last day before closing to the public for the winter. The decor was beautiful and creative, clearly a labor of love. Even simple things were anticipated, like a place to charge our phones on each side of the bed. We would love to stay here again when they reopen to the public in the spring.
Highly recommend! by Don 09/12/2018
This was the first time we ever used Airbnb. Jerry gave great directions and the horse barn was awesome. We loved it! It’s out in the country and it’s exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend it
Fantastic! by Alissa 09/12/2018
My friend and I spent two nights in the Trigger Room and it was fantastic! The rooms were spacious, the shower was incredible, and there was even an almond poppyseed loaf waiting for us when we arrived! We happened to arrive right when Jerry was around and he gave us advice about visiting Arches and Canyonland National Parks. The room also had a binder filled with information about local attractions, hikes, and restaurants. They have a ton of land with both a hiking and walking trail, and we saw a few deer walking around as well. Overall, a great couple of nights in Canyonland!”
Perfect little get away! by Anna 09/12/2018
Other than the pet stuff it was great!! Would love to come again without our fur babies. Super cute place and beautiful landscape. Perfect little get away! And the community kitchen and BBQ space was amazing.would love to return with more friends
Wished I could have stayed longer by Anthony 07/09/2018
This is a great place that's not too far from Blanding and from Moab. It was nice having all the amenities we needed. Just wished I could stay longer
Such a beautiful place! by Christos 05/24/2018
Such a beautiful place. Very stylish, clean and spacious. We could really tell that our hosts paid attention to every detail to make our stay there comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you for everything.
Conveniently Cute! by MMHam93 05/01/2018
This was a great stop on our way through Southern Utah. It was very easy to find from the directions they emailed to me. It was very convenient to just be able to come and go as we pleased and not have to check in or out with anyone. The room was decorated perfectly and was equipped with a nice bar area with a microwave and dishes. There was a gas heater in there that we ran from the time we got there til we left and it still got pretty cold at night. I did run into one of the owners as we were leaving and she was so friendly. It is definitely a great place and you can tell how much work the owners have put into the place.
What an amazing place! by Nathalie 04/24/2018
What an amazing place. The barn is a memorable spot, thoughtfully decorated and equipped with everything you need for a little adventure in the woods. We loved it, especially the view of the stars at night and the amazing guide book of things to do in the area.
Wow! This was the greatest airbnb ever! by Melanie 04/06/2018
Wow! This was the greatest airbnb ever! For a horse lover and a girl raised on a mountain ranch, and someone who loves airbnb, this was the PERFECT place. Such a beautiful conversion of horse stalls into lodging. And Jerry was SO responsive to all my questions. I'm glad we booked our return trip to include another visit to this special place.
Was Fantastic by Scott 04/04/2018
Stayed in the Trigger room of the Barn for two nights. Was fantastic. Owners are wonderful people. Our six year old had a blast running around the property “exploring” and playing on the swing set. Close to Needles entrance of Canyonlands. Highly recommend, and will definitely stay again.
Very convenient location by Yu-Yin 04/03/2018
We had great time to stay there. Very convenient location to access to where we were planning to go (Mesa Verde and Monument Valley. The cabin was good size for our family( 2 adults, 1kid and 1 small dog). Our kid loved the cabin with the surrounding natural environment and a small play ground a lot.
Perfect stay! by Thư Minh 09/26/2017

pleasant place to stay by M G 09/19/2017
A calm and pleasant place to stay when visiting all of the great historic, prehistoric, and natural sites in the area. I stayed in the Trigger room at the horse barn.
Amazing! by Krista 07/10/2017
“Amazing! We loved our stay at the barn. Such a great set up, loved it all!! Thanks y'all! Highly recommended ”
I have already recommended it to several friends! by Sandy 06/21/2017
My daughter and I had a great night in the Trigger Cabin. Though we arrived late and left early, we loved our time in these very clean, charming rooms of the stable. I have already recommended it to several friends! Thank you!
The barn was cute and cozy, as well as sparkling clean. by Ethan 06/03/2017
The barn was cute and cozy, as well as sparkling clean. The property had a great feeling of privacy and remoteness. One thing to note is that this barn houses two little cabins that share a BBQ and fire pit, so it is slightly communal although inside your space is totally private. The bed was super comfortable. We only stayed one night but would be happy to return!
Lovely place quiet and amazing by Johnanthan 05/31/2017
This is sooooo nice, everything has been placed carefully. Very clean, mountain view on the back, peaceful.
I have so many good things to say about this Cabin.
I'd have kept it secret but I'd rather review and give a good recommendation 🙂
A beautiful place with a reasonable price. by Johnason 05/22/2017
We arrived on a snowy day which made the ranch really beautiful. If the weather is nicer, I wouldn't want to leave that place. It is very peaceful and serene.
Cute place to stay by Marybeth 05/01/2017
Great location between Lake Powell and Arches, Jerry was awesome in helping with ideas of hiking and other activities in the area. Wifi was weak to non existent , might be important for some, and we were there in late April /it was a bit colder than we were expecting, and the room was a bit hard to keep warm.
Great customer service! by Daniel and Jennifer 03/22/2017
Trigger room in the horse barn was awesome. We made a trip to Moab and watched the sunset and hiked the canyon on the property for the sunrise. Had a great time we will definitely be back with our horses next time. We are from North Dakota so it felt like home.
Highly Recommend by New Guest 10/12/2016
Loved the Trigger cabin. I will definitely be coming back whenever I come through Monticello. I would highly recommend Canyonlands lodging to everyone.
This place is great! by Nora Shepard 09/27/2016

great place to stay and relax by Joe C. 08/21/2016
The Horse Barn Trigger Room was a great place to stay and relax on our transition from Utah to Colorado. Wish we could have stayed longer. The fire ring and friendly watch dog allowed us to enjoy the beautiful night sky and perfect weather late into the night.
Very cute and quaint! by Ann 06/01/2016
Stayed in the Barn Silver/Trigger rooms. Found it to be something out of the ordinary, cute and quaint. Loved that the dogs and grand kids could roam around and get their energy worked out.
One issue we had was the fact that firewood wasn't provided. We are new at staying at a camping place, so maybe this is the norm, but I think it should be stated in the online site so people aren't surprised and/or disappointed when they're told to buy some firewood in town or drag your own in from the property.
OWNER NOTE: There is firewood here and I showed you where it was, right next to the cabin area. Sorry you missed that communique.
Great Experience by Tina and Chuck 04/09/2016
Great host, clean, and such a delightful place to stay. We have been telling all our friends and family. We stayed in the Trigger and Silver rooms. Rustic experience that was right up our alley....
Couldn't be more perfect by Molly 04/09/2016

Loved staying in the Trigger Room in the Barn. by Julie Whymer 10/17/2015
Loved staying in the Trigger Room in the Barn. Was so pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the bedroom.
Such a peaceful place to stay and a great base for exploring Canyonlands and Arches
My bunk house stay was perfect in every way. by Ruth Naylor 09/04/2015
My bunk house stay was perfect in every way. Extra bedding was supplied in the event of cold weather, plenty of towels, WiFi was available if you had to keep up with the world, and everything was clean. The Murdock's were generous with their knowledge of the area, the peace was superb, and my only discontent was lack of time; I could have stayed forever. It is a 5 star retreat in every way!
We spent 3 nights in the horse barn and the whole family loved staying there. by Eric and Isabelle 08/15/2015

If you are coming to the area to get away and enjoy the beauty of the land this is the place. by The Hamers 06/11/2015
If you are coming to the area to get away and enjoy the beauty of the land this is the place. We enjoyed the scenery and the unique to sleep. When we come back this is the location we will choose again.

Owner Response:
Our Bunkhouse Barn Cabin rooms are the most unique of all our lodging. Plush western rooms in half of a Horse Barn Setting, nice bathrooms, hot showers, with a large covered lounge area, picnic tables, BBQ Grill, and a campfire bowl. Some call it Glamping, which is luxury glamour camping. We welcome this new property to our family of cabins and lodges.
Thank you for your visit with us,
Jerry and Tina
My husband and I traveled to the Monticello/Blanding area to ride on the ATV trails. by Robin Sherrif 05/06/2015
My husband and I traveled to the Monticello/Blanding area to ride on the ATV trails. We stayed at the Bunkhouse in the Trigger Room. We were honored to be their first guests in this new addition to their lovely properties! It was a unique experience. We literally stayed in the barn! A nice setup with two cozy bedrooms and adjacent bathrooms! The breezeway has been turned into a nice covered patio area, with a common sink. This would be a great place for two couples to stay, and you can bring your horses! The family size fire pit is a nice addition which sits just outside the barn door. Jerry and Tina, the owners were so kind and also gave us great trail information to ride our side by side nearby! The surrounding area is breathtaking! Not only was the Bunkhouse nice, we also got to stay in the White Pine Cabin, which was more than we could ever hope for! It is beautiful, and Tina's decorating talent makes both places so warm and inviting! I can only imagine what the rest of their properties look like! We also appreciated the fresh home baked cookies we got on arrival! I highly recommend any of their properties and do indeed, intend to return...SOON! Also, Inja and Boots (the furry camp hosts) came to visit often and gave us many loves! Thank you Jerry and Tina for an awesome Birthday vacation!

Response: Thank you for being our First Guests in the new Bunkhouse!! Hurry back!
