Property Details

This cabin sits in the trees on the La Sal Mountains and is perfect for couples or families that love to see the sites but want to be away from it all. There is plenty of space to kick back and relax, or if you want to explore, hiking to the fully stocked trout\steelhead pond in the valley below or on the 4 miles of trails through the canyon along the creek. This cabin is located on the La Sal Mountains just 45 miles away from downtown Moab.

You will LOVE the amazing Tree House available for your use, 30 feet in the air which offers truly spectacular views!! With downtown Moab a short drive away, you are never going to run out of things to do while staying here. This cabin is situated central to Arches and Canyonlands/Needles National Parks along with many other local attractions. Also, there are ATV and Mountain Biking trails in the area that are accessible from the ranch.

There is a full kitchen with all the cookware needed to provide a great meal. The bedroom features a queen bed with two sleeping mats (please bring blankets or sleeping bags for the mats). The bathroom features a full soaking tub with a separate shower. The power for the cabin is provided by solar so please, no curling irons or blow dryers. Verizon seems to be the best carrier option and you can usually get a decent signal. Also, be aware that you drive up a gravel road about half a mile to the cabin once you enter Wolf Springs Ranch. Most cars can handle the drive with no problems, 4wd is not necessary however cars with low clearances are not recommended and conditions will vary after a heavy rain or snow.

Cute and cozy by Melissa 07/14/2020
This cabin was so cute and cozy! I loved the wood burning furnace. It was relaxing after a long day. Will definitely come back and I recommend this to anyone
Great views by Jason 07/14/2020
I think if I paid less for the place I would have been happier. The yard was messy. Needs simple work of cleaning it up a bit. Needs to update blankets and sheets
Absolutely beautiful location! by Sasjka 07/14/2020
Absolutely beautiful location! We will be returning in the future!
Better than Moab, no crowds! by Elisabeth 07/14/2020
Clean, comfortable and supplied all the basic needs for our stay. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking to explore the Moab area without all the crowds.
Beautiful location by Ashleigh 07/14/2020
“This cabin was a little difficult to find with little to no cell service but it was the perfect last minute get away. Beautiful location. About 45 minutes from downtown Moab. Enjoyed the privacy in a clean cabin. Only thing to note is that the cots/extra mattresses are not complementary like the advertisement suggests. You are required to pay $25 extra for each one. Which wasn’t a problem for me, but the other guests in my group were not happy about it. Also, list of inventory is not accurate. We did not have all the condiments and what not that was listed. Once again, not a problem but I don’t want to be charged for something that’s not accurately listed. Overall very good experience and would consider returning. Thanks for reading my review!”
Had a great weekend here! by Sara 07/14/2020
Had a great weekend staying “off the grid” in a beautiful area. Just what we needed after long days of hiking!
Beautiful cabin! by Shanon 07/14/2020
Beautiful cabin in the middle of southern Utah. Lots of things to do within 30 min. Be aware of how off grid it is. I highly suggest if you’re traveling with a group to meet up together in Moab. Once you’re 30 min from the cabin you’ll lose cell service and have to ask the locals. If you map it from Moab you won’t have an issue. We spent 2 nights there and liked it so much that we decided to pay for another day. Brian the owner is so helpful and friendly. Leah the wolf is also very well trained and will leave you alone if you ask. If you want to disconnect I highly recommend this cabin!
Tree patio is INCREDIBLE by Emily 07/14/2020
This Cabin is amazing for escaping the hustle and bustle of the world, and there is no cellular service/WiFi, so the noise of nature is what is provided! Also, that tree patio is INCREDIBLE. Take your dinner and enjoy that space!
More than we expected by Daniel 07/14/2020
This space was more than we expected. I expected this place to be secluded but not in National forest secluded. The view was great! Check in was a breeze. The place was clean and the water pressure in the shower was awesome! The patio was great for stargazing! Will definitely return.
Amazing view by Nicholas 07/14/2020
The cabin has a balcony with an amazing view. And the forest is quiet and peaceful, so peaceful in fact that I saw the same deer 4-5 times hanging around the ranch during my trip. It was also perfectly clean and well stocked with coffee/creamer/pots/pans/etc.
Great value and also beautiful surroundings! by Jennavee 07/14/2020
Great value and also beautiful surroundings! Loved the cabin and also everything about the place for the price!
Fun get away place! by Isabella 07/14/2020
Fun get away place! definitely would recommend a bigger vehicle but not necessary! it is pretty far from moab but it’s worth it with the beautiful atmosphere & of course, leah, the ranch dog!
Love it here by Yaldaram 07/14/2020
Totally blow my mind . I rested more in 2 days than my entire 2 week road trip.
Perfect mountain getaway by Noelle 11/10/2019
This cabin was a perfect mountain getaway for us. The road was bumpy but easy for my Honda Element (without 4WD) and the driving directions made the journey mostly effortless, even at night. We loved that there was no WiFi — it gave us a welcome chance to unplug and disconnect from the outside world. There were no other guests staying in the nearby cabins so we had the whole area to ourselves. The treehouse was incredible — from up there we watched a doe and her fawn graze in the meadow just beyond it. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies, and the big windows and patio offered beautiful views all day and night. The hosts were easy to contact, and thoughtfully left the cabin light on to help us find the right place since we got in so late. We can't wait to come back!
Beyond beautiful! by Kaitlin 11/10/2019
So happy to have stayed here instead of in Moab. Such an incredible area, beyond beautiful, and loved being off the grid.
Great little cabin retreat close to Moab. by Casey 11/10/2019
Great little cabin retreat close to Moab.
Great little cabin! by Howard 11/10/2019
Great little cabin. Very clean, comfortable and private. Great shower and bath! Their was firewood there for us, and the place stayed nice and warm inside. Dog friendly for an extra $30. We really enjoyed our stay there, and will be going back.
Amazing! by Luke 11/10/2019
Would recommend by Kelley 11/10/2019
This is a place you don't want to have to find in the dark. They have no markers even in daylight. You have to really follow the directions once you hit La Sal exit. When you get to the mile 16, you have to turn left into a gravel entrance with no sign. We drove from CA so we were very tired & frustrated because it took much longer driving up to what was finally the wolf springs entrance. It actually got easier as the days went by to get used of the road which takes 20 minutes to leave before your back on the road to head anywhere. I think for me I'll probably stay closer in town {Moab} because after seeing the beautiful sites and then having to drive 30 minutes to wolf springs and another 20 min up to the cabin, you're tired. But for those who really want to get away and not be bothered with driving around, this is the place. It's quite and has beautiful surroundings, other cabins are far enough away. there is a great pond full of trout. (catch & release). I never met Jerry but the owner came by to check up & Leah (the wolf dog) is so friendly she hung out with us at times. Overall, I would recommend this place especially if you plan on staying put for a while. Kitchen is very accomodating.
Amazing place! by Austin 09/15/2019
Amazing place in a beautiful and quiet area. I would definitely love to stay here again if I'm coming back through the area!
This place was amazing! by Lindsey 08/11/2019
Jerry's place was amazing, quiet, comfortable, and close to the Mountains for easy exploring. Would book again!
Clean comfortable home, cozy bed and nice furnishings by Caitlin 08/11/2019
We loved our time here. House with big windows was perfectly set in the middle of a spectacular National Forest... deck was perfect at night for star gazing. Clean comfortable home, cozy bed and nice furnishings. Would definitely stay again for a longer time!
Very nice place to stay! by Harlan 07/14/2019
Very nice place to stay!
Jerry was a great help!! by Emily 07/14/2019
Beautiful and cozy cabin in rural mountains of La Sal, we enjoyed the quiet beauty and AMAZING stars at night! Be warned the drive in is a bit bumpy, it will test your shocks. Great decor and comfortable bed, Jerry was very helpful and responded quickly to all of our questions.
We had the great time! by Aram 10/31/2018
Wauw, great location! Beautiful view in the morning and sun set. What was difficult for us, as millenials, is that there was no service and wifi on our phone. But even without phone for two days, we had the great time!
Great off grid experience! by Larry 10/31/2018
If you're looking for an off the grid experience, this is the right place. The cabin is very comfortable, well appointed and clean...with a super nice bath with a tub and seperate shower. The roads on the ranch are a tad rough...our Outback had no problem but I'm not sure I'd take a Vette there. The night sky was unbelievable, never seen stars like that, and we enjoyed the tree house and feeding the fish down at the little pond. We really enjoyed staying at the cabin!”
Outstanding experience by Vince 10/31/2018
The cabin was excellent. The view was better. Fun ride back into the location. Not a good road for low cars, but a standard ride height car will do just fine. We had a Honda Civic and no problem. Star gazing was outstanding. View of La Sal mountain range was excellent.
Exceeded every expectation!!! 5 stars across the board! by Kevin 10/31/2018
I surprised my new bride and we had the ultimate honeymoon. Bed was very comfortable, spacing was well thought out. Loved the open windows to see the most fantastic sky every night. Breakfast and supper on the veranda daily. Beautiful places to walk. No cell service right at cabin which was a welcome plus. You only have to walk an 8th of a mile to get some service. Loved Leah the wolf. What a scary first appearance but she couldnt have been sweeter, especially when she showed up and respectfully hoped for a few bites. Lol. These cabins are in a mountain forest but still fairly. Lose to moab- 40 miles and the scenery us so spectacular along the way, it's worth the drive. Owner of is the nicest man and helpful. I am a birder so saw a few new birds which I was excited about. The silence up here is amazing and quiet. Disappointed not to see a bear but maybe next time. 🙂 5 stars across the board for this self contained cabin. We are coming back!
Really enjoyed our visit. Beautiful area and the solitude we were looking for. by Staci 10/31/2018
Really enjoyed our visit. Beautiful area and the solitude we were looking for.
Will stay here again! by Santi 10/31/2018
Beautiful views, wonderful ranch dog, quiet, wonderful owner. We will stay here again when we adventure to Moab. We didn't mind the drive back and fourth because when the day is done and you want to relax this place was the place to be. The electricty is solared powered so be sure to not keep the lights on if you are there when it cloudy. Lesson learned. The cabin was well equipped. Thanks for a great trip Wolf Springs Ranch!
The night sky was stunning. by Paul 09/19/2018
The cabin was immaculate, cozy and well-provisioned. The night sky was stunning. The directions were crystal clear. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot.The solitude had great pluses and for our taste a little minus because it ended up being too far from Arches. We knew there would be no WIFI or cell service and we underestimated how inconvenient this sometimes was for us. Nonetheless we highly recommend it to whomever relishes this kind of isolation in a classy unit suitable for 4 persons.
Loved watching the deer by Michelle 09/12/2018
We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the deer. It stormed two of the three nights we stayed and the lightning was amazing. This is a comfortable and clean place in a quiet, secluded area. We would stay here again.”
Comfy space... by Jody 09/12/2018
Well stocked kitchen. Comfy space. Directions were easy to follow. Wildlife abundant and the treehouse is perfect for an evening of enjoyment. And quiet! No atv Ranch if you have friends or family that would like to join you.
This place is GREAT! by Andreea 06/12/2018
This place is great! Everything is very clean and the area around the cabin is amazing. There's a 1 mile hike in a small canyon as well as walking path. The bathrooms were impeccable. The communication was great and the cabin itself was exactly what I was looking for. It's simple but has all the comforts of home. I had my dogs with me and they loved every minute of it. If you're looking for clean air, peaceful ambiance but the comforts of a home bed and bathroom this is the place. Highly recommended
Off the Grid w/ ample access to trails, vistas, area attractions by Benjamin 06/12/2018
Located adjacent to National Forest Property, this cabin is surrounded by wilderness, beauty, and solitude. Every day we explored, mainly mountain biking, and could not believe how many off the beaten track places we could go to -- all at different altitudes and different exposure -- so no view/experience was the same. The cabin is ample, including a great big bath tub, comfortable bed, great deck and views... but make sure you bring food because there is no nearby place to get it or to eat. We found the cabin stocked with staples -- either from the owner or prior guests, which was a nice surprise. The owner also has listed a number of places to go if you need ideas. Also, note that we did not get cell service until we ventured to MOAB, so print copies of any directions or places you may want to go.

Great little hideaway by Ian 06/12/2018
Great little hideaway for a trip out to Moab. Would definitely stay there again.
Great place to get away from it all by Simone 06/12/2018
If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to be! 🙂 The view from the patio is beautiful and if the weather was cool enough, we would have definitely fired up the wood burning stove, as well as used the large soaking tub in the bathroom. In terms of location, we didn't love it for what we wanted to do personally. There are no hiking trails directly by or near from the cabin (at least that we found), and you have to drive quite a bit to get to Canyonlands or Arches. It was likely our fault in not researching better, but we would have enjoyed a remote experience more if there would have been options for things to do close by. Not sure we will stay again but if you really want to be away from the masses, this is your place to be! Also no wifi or cell reception, which makes it hard to do research on the next day's adventure.
A great place to get away from it all by Brett-Ashley 05/10/2018
This is a great place is you’re looking to get away from it all. The cabin is clean and looks exactly as it does in the pictures. It is quite remote, but the location is beautiful. Keep in mind, there is no WiFi or TV. Having Sprint cellphone service, we were 45 minutes away from being able to make a phone call. There is a great binder in the cabin full of information about the area/things to do. Just make sure you have what you need before you head to the cabin (food, drinks, books, etc) because you’ll be a bit far from a store. Great for a private and relaxing getaway
The dog on the ranch is so sweet! by Natalie 04/03/2018
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! We loved the wood burning stove, kept us nice and cozy while we slept. The dog on the ranch is so sweet! Slept on our porch one night keeping watch. It was such a great place to turn and unwind in after a day of hiking and adventure. Keep in mind there is no cell service (for AT&T at least).
This place is awesome! by Allison 04/03/2018
This place is awesome! It's a bit of a drive to Arches and Canyonlands, but the place is beautiful, peaceful, and worth a little extra car time. We also loved the big, friendly dog we saw periodically around the property!
A great way to temper my internet addition by Jerry 03/21/2018
What a great way to temper my internet addition! If there is any place that can make me forget the desire to incessantly check my email and watch TV, this is it. Jerry was incredibly communicative and provided great directions to get to the cabin. When we first tried to find the place, I was worried that we went astray, but we stayed true to the directions that we printed and found the cabin without any issue. You can easily access Arches and Canyonlands from the cabin (about 1 hour away). We did Arches on the first day, and on the second day, we stayed in the cabin watching the snow fall and then gazed at the clearest starry sky I have seen in years. The wood stove kept the cabin super toasty and the solar powered electricity worked well for us even this early in the year (March). If you want a lot of light at night, I'd suggest bringing some extra candles, or battery-powered light sources. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a good meal and there was plenty of hot water from the gas-heated water heater. It was so quiet, and I slept so deeply. There were two super nice housekeepers that came to check on us periodically and make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks so much, and I hope to be back!
Would definitely recommend to friends or family. by Kinsey Thompson 12/06/2017
Cute wolf springs cabin, in a beautiful secluded location, with nice scenery from the big front deck. It’s a bit of a drive out of Moab, but the magnificence of the night sky makes it worth the drive. Wood stove keeps the place toasty on cold nights. Nice clean bath and shower. No cell service or wi-fi. Would definitely recommend to friends or family.
Beautiful place, off the grid by Ruth E Dunn 12/06/2017
Beautiful place, off the grid. (wolf springs cabin #3)
Wolf springs is incredible by Adam Christian 10/18/2017
Wolf springs is incredible. He has a wonderful cabin out in the woods near La Sal and it is one of the most idyllic places I've stayed. My friend and I snuggled up by the wood fire and had a wonderful evening watching the stars and sipping hot tea.
Wow by Jessica Novak 10/17/2017
Wow - what a an amazing space. Wolf springs is a remote, private clean location. Would recommend having a car with a little bit of clearance. Wood fire place heats up the cabin nicely.
We got our mountain experience by Travis Timmons 10/11/2017
Gorgeous views!! Cute, cozy and warm. We stayed early October at wolf springs cabin 3 and were surprised with a morning snow and were warmed by the woodburning stove! We got our mountain experience while visiting Moab, Arches, Canyonlands and Dead horse. We stayed here with our 3 and 4 yo and they were enamered with the views, just sure they were going to see a bear!
peaceful setting by Madeline Thomas 09/27/2017
Beautiful wolfspring cabin in a peaceful setting. Had all of the amenities we needed for a night away. Well-stocked kitchen and lots of firewood for the wood burning stove. Updated decor and furnishings were a great bonus!
good place for a few nights. by Lyubomir Lyubenov 09/25/2017
The wolf spring cabin 3 is good for 2 people. It's located inside of a ranch ,so it's really quiet, but it has wild life around. It's good place for a few nights.
Incredible views by Elena Bragg 09/19/2017
Incredible views of the stars at night and mountains in the morning. (Wolf Springs Cabin #3)
everything you would need by Brett Pond 09/11/2017
Remote, off the grid, relaxing. Wolf Springs cabin #3 is a very clean cabin with everything you would need. Excellent view of the La Sal mountains.
We loved our stay by Marci Madrigal 09/11/2017

Such a cute place! by Marci 07/18/2017
The cabin was clean, the bed was comfy, and the view was incredible! Easy to book and the location instructions were right on. A perfect setting for two, but we can't wait to bring our family!
Cabin was Great by Lindsay 07/10/2017
“This cabin was great for our weekend getaway. It is very remote, so a great place for some peace & quiet. Patio was perfect for relaxing!”
Amazing Place by Mo 07/10/2017

“Amazing place for anyone look to get out away and into the fresh air. Beautiful location, can't beat the La Sals. And watching the sun set on Big Tuk every night made the stay. The property can accommodate big and small groups, this place is a gem. I highly recommend it. ”

Mo’s private feedback for you:

“We had an amazing stay, thank you so much!”
A perfect getaway for a couple or a family of 4! by Sara Sinclair 06/19/2017
The Wolf Springs cabin was gorgeous and we wished we could have stayed an extra night! Jerry was very responsive to all our questions and the driving directions were spot on. We enjoyed being away from cell service and without wifi to relax and hang out for the evening. The cabin had a nice open air floor plan (FYI: if you are staying as a group of friends - the bathroom is in the bedroom and only the toilet has a door). The deck was gorgeous and a perfect place for morning coffee and an evening beer. This place would be a perfect getaway for a couple or a family of 4
This is the perfect cabin in the mountains for two! by Matt 06/14/2017
The Wolf Springs Cabin is the perfect cabin in the mountains for two! The views of the surrounding forest and snow-capped mountains in the distance are amazing from the deck and the house is so cozy inside with lots of wood and a wood burning stove (with lots of firewood at the ready). The inside is simple but has all the necessities (open kitchen and sitting area, bedroom with a queen sized bed with a great wooden bed frame, and bathroom with a separate tub, toilette, and shower). The location is remote and once you're there you won't have internet access. Neighborhood cows like to walk along the dirt path leading to the cabin and check out the visitors.
I definitely would stay here again! by Ken 06/13/2017
“We really enjoyed our stay at the Wolf Springs cabin. It had everything you would need and the views were amazing. Jerry was quick to respond whenever we reached out. I definitely would stay here again"
These cabins are quaint and so beautiful! by Bailey 06/13/2017
“These cabins are quaint and so beautiful. Tucked back in the wilderness you would never guess they were there! We only stayed for one night but I would definitely love to come back and stay longer. Beautiful homes!"
Birds and Trees by Joel H 06/02/2017
If you want a secluded get away this is it! Bring what you need as nothing is close. All you will hear is the birds and the wind through the trees. VERY private! A real nice new cabin, with wood burning stove and all the comforts you would need. We loved it!
Beautiful Retreat by Linda A 05/29/2017
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is in a beautiful spot on a secluded mountain top. The cabin is comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. It has a large deck with a grill. It was nice to take a walk in the woods. It is the perfect spot for anyone wanting to get away.
This was a hidden gem. by Adrian 05/24/2017
Beautiful cabin tucked away in the wilderness. Will come again.
Cabin was Perfect by Brad 05/22/2017
