Details

Property Description

Get ready for your off-grid adventure! This cabin is located on La Sal Mountains just 45 miles away from downtown Moab. With room for up to 4 people this is a great cabin to enjoy everything Moab has to offer while staying away from the crowds.

Property Details

This cabin sits in the trees on the La Sal Mountains and is perfect for couples or families that love to see the sites but want to be away from it all. There is plenty of space to kick back and relax, or if you want to explore, hiking to the fully stocked trout\steelhead pond in the valley below or on the 4 miles of trails through the canyon along the creek.

You will LOVE the amazing Tree House available for your use, 30 feet in the air which offers truly spectacular views!! With downtown Moab a short drive away, you are never going to run out of things to do while staying here. This cabin is situated central to Arches and Canyonlands/Needles National Parks along with many other local attractions. Also, there are ATV and Mountain Biking trails in the area that are accessible from the ranch.

There is a full kitchen with all the cookware needed to provide a great meal. The bedroom features a queen bed with two sleeping mats (please bring blankets or sleeping bags for the mats). The bathroom features a full soaking tub with a separate shower. The power for the cabin is provided by solar so please, no curling irons or blow dryers. Electric frying pans and crocks pots won’t be available as well. And please be aware that as part of your off-grid experience at times there might be power outages as weather conditions or other issues might cause problems with the system. These problems are rare and are usually quickly resolved, backup generators are available if necessary.

As mentioned, cell phone service is limited in this area, but it might be possible to make calls at various locations on the ranch depending on your carrier. Verizon seems to be the best carrier option and you can usually get a decent signal at the gate to the resort just a short distance from the cabins. Because of our remote location we do not offer WiFi or Cable. Also, be aware that you will need to drive up a gravel road of about 4 miles after turning off the highway and then drive up a dirt road less than a mile to the cabins. Most cars can handle the drive with no problems, 4wd is not necessary however cars with low clearances are not recommended and conditions will vary after rains and snows.

Additional cabins are available on the same ranch if you have friends or family that would like to join you.

This property has 1 Queen(s), 2 Single(s).

A great escape by Kristyn 09/12/2018
Cabin 2 was a great escape! We had a wonderful time in the area and really enjoyed exploring the National Parks! The cabin itself was cozy and a great space, I especially loved the patio and stargazing at night, especially for the meteor shower! If you are looking to stay here definitely bring your own food and go to the store before you head up to the cabin, the nearest store is about 45 mins away. Little critters do like to get into the cabin so just keep that in mind. Overall, the cabin was wonderful and I would highly recommend staying here.”
A beautiful and wonderful place to stay. by Jenna 06/12/2018
The cabin is beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. It’s a great place to relax. My favorite part was watching all of the deer walk through the area in the evening
Cute cabin! by Rachel 06/12/2018
The cute cabin was the perfect place to rest and enjoy the scenery after long hiking days in the area
Great get away!!!! by Nicki 06/12/2018
Great get away. The space was simple and cozy yet had easy access to many of Southern Utah’s amazing monuments and parks. I loved the tree house on the property!! Was a great find at a great price
This cabin is wonderful! by Julia 06/12/2018
This cabin is wonderful! It's just as described and an incredible getaway! Perfect if you're looking for a secluded and private place to enjoy the outdoors and night sky. Thoughtfully decorated and built to accommodate guests. Definitely worth the extra drive time to Moab/Arches NP/Canyonlands NP. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely love to stay here again!!”
Loved the cabin!!! by Agueda 06/12/2018
Loved the cabin. It was a bit far for us to Moab but the quietness was amazing. The place was clean and the cabin was comfortable. I would recommend cabin #2 for a couple rather than the three of us. The place had sleeping mats but by 6:00 am it was really bright in the living room/ kitchen where our friend slept. I recommend it if you are seeking a quiet place and you take some groceries with you since nothing is very close to it. The cabin has plenty of pots and pans and basic ingredients to cook and a BBQ! Check in and out was easy and Jerry had made a wonderful book with plenty of ideas of what to go visit
We hope to come back!! by Nils 06/12/2018
This is a beautiful one bedroom cabin in the Manti-La Sal national forest. We enjoyed a peaceful sunset on a private deck while taking in the breathtaking views. Jerry was very accommodating and provided us with spot-on directions to this secluded area. We hope to come back!
Lovely remote property by Guest 06/12/2018
We stayed in cabin 2, which was a great property with lovely views off the balcony. The cabin itself was very nice and comfortable. However, make sure you get all your groceries, gas, etc. before you get there because this place is remote. There are some nice trails and a catch-and-release pond on the property. Bring along some games or books because there is no TV, internet or phone service out there. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and recommend this property.
Great View, Remote, Quiet, Clean by Juliette 04/20/2018

Cabins have quality furnishings for what is there, take a book as it is quiet and peaceful. Great view of the draw below this cabin, take the nearby path to a secluded pond below. Fireplace worked well, and kept the cabin warm most of the night when loaded before bed. Loved the dog that keeps watch over the ranch, it greets you at the gate and then turns up later at your cabin to let you know it is his ranch, very friendly but does not wear out his welcome. Well stocked with necessities, bath, coffee etc. Will return next year.

Did not leave an adequate amount of firewood by Jordan 04/03/2018
The host did not leave an adequate amount of firewood inside the unit. All but two pieces of firewood at our unit were left outside on the deck. After a full day of rain prior to our arrival, it made it very difficult to get the wood stove going. No kindling was provided either. The area around the cabin can get quite muddy after it rains. The units do not have door mats or any cleaning supplies to keep them relatively mud-free during your stay. Hopefully, the host will provide these for future guests. The most disappointing thing about our stay was that the power went our both days after being on for about an hour. I am assuming the units do not have back up generators, because there was no information in the listing, our arrival instructions, or at the cabin about how to turn on the power if it goes out. Guests need to be aware that power may be intermittent during their stay.
Jerrys place was quite an adventure. by Albert 04/03/2018
Jerrys place was quite an adventure. Don't be shocked by a big wolf at the entrance of the place. It's actually a very adorable dog who loves getting pet.
Great hideaway in the mountains! by Jes Michie 12/06/2017
Great hideaway in the mountains! Wolf springs cabin #2 is a perfect little cabin with all the essentials. Keep an eye out for the giant white dog, we called him Sampson. He is such a gentle giant!

A wonderful cabin in a beautiful area by Jolie Krause 10/20/2017
We loved the wolfsping cabin for our family. The cabin itself is in great shape. It was very clean and well kept. The property that it is on is beautiful and there was room to hike around. It was just what our family needed, some alone time out in nature. We played games and explored the property one day. Another day we visited Canyonlands NP, and another day we visited Arches NP. It was such a lovely place to come back to each night. Our kids loved the cabin too. Thank you for an affordable place to escape to!
By far the best! by Ellen Rhodes 09/20/2017
By far the best vacation rental we have come across. Location was secluded and peaceful. Loved the eco-friendly way of living. A great escape. We wish we could have stayed longer at Wolf Springs cabin 2.

Very fun, creative cabin located in the secluded part of Utah. The cabin was on a cattle ranch so we were quickly greeted by the locals. They were friendly though ! Loved the atmosphere, would totally stay again!"
Birds and Trees by Joel H 06/02/2017
If you want a secluded get away this is it! Bring what you need as nothing is close. All you will hear is the birds and the wind through the trees. VERY private! A real nice new cabin, with wood burning stove and all the comforts you would need. We loved it!
Beautiful Retreat by Linda A 05/29/2017
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is in a beautiful spot on a secluded mountain top. The cabin is comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. It has a large deck with a grill. It was nice to take a walk in the woods. It is the perfect spot for anyone wanting to get away.
The directions for check in were perfect. by Brad 05/29/2017
The directions for check in were perfect. The cabin is in fantastic condition and is the perfect size. Definitely a lot of thought was put into the design of the property.
