Property Details

Loved our stay here! by Kathryn 07/14/2020
The parking is a bit tricky and the cabin is out of cell/gps range so be sure to have a good vehicle and print off the map when you go. But we loved the wood burning heat, and the bed was comfortable, with a lovely view out the main windows. Definitely would stay here again
Charming cabin by Eliza 07/14/2020
This is truly a charming little cabin, tucked away in nature. Very peaceful and refreshing. Jerry is also a great host. Very thorough in communication and instructions about the space. I would love to stay again!
Perfect getaway! by Christine 07/14/2020
This place is the perfect off the grid gateway. Gorgeous views. Peaceful. Lovely
Wonderful stay by Tiffany 07/14/2020
Wonderful experience in the wilderness of Utah. Make sure to get your groceries before heading up the mountain. Cabin was easy to find even in the dark.
Great cabin! by Stephanie 07/14/2020
Great cabin in a very remote area. No WiFi, no TV, no cell reception. It is a good option if you want to completely disconnect and be tune in with nature. We saw a few cows come up to our cabin, but they kept to themselves. This cabin has options for a fireplace, bbq grill, stove top and oven, lots of choices for cooking and warming up. Highly recommended to arrive on a AWD or SUV vehicle as the road conditions can be a little challenging, might require a bit of driving skill to back out and turn around; the road is narrow. Great experience overall.
Will stay here again! by Dawnelle 07/14/2020
A wonderful place to get away - just as advertised, very remote and off the grid. We printed directions ahead of time and had no problem finding our cabin. It was quiet with beautiful surroundings. We very much enjoyed a quiet evening grilling on the patio. Hope to return and spend more time in area. Will stay here again!
The cabin is beautiful!! by James 07/14/2020
Overall, the cabin was great! Definitely off grid. Jerry is an excellent host and accommodated my family and our Labrador Retriever. We only got to spend 1 night in the cabin (wish it could have been more) but we were very pleased. I would recommend a vehicle that is AWD since some of the cabins are on a dirt path and the access to the cabin can be a bit rocky/bumpy. Also, I would recommend getting to the cabins during the day and not at night. Accessing the area at night can be a little difficult since you can't see well and some of the dirt roads are very narrow. We went hiking at Arches and did the Delicate Arch sunset hike and drove to the cabin around 10 PM. It was a bit difficult for us to make out the cabin numbers that late at night, but again, that was mostly our fault lol. Aside from that, the cabin is beautiful and being able to see wildlife right outside your windows was amazing! We hope to come back and stay more nights!
Beautiful scenerary by Steve 07/14/2020
Beautiful Scenery, my daughter loved the tree house and swing. We found a pond with fish around that area as well, the water is clear so you can see the fish swimming around. The only downside is that the cabins are so close together that there isn't much privacy. Other than that the stay was amazing!
Very serene! by Benjamin 07/14/2020
The cabin was well put together, and in a truly serene spot. There's a really dense wildlife population, so be mindful of the deer/ birds when driving. Pros: - Decent proximity to nearby Parks - Perfectly quiet (good for sleep) - Great relaxing porch - The bathtub is nice - The info binder has good content about the area - Take a break from the internet Cons: - A low-clearance, 2WD vehicle would need to be careful - Ads in the cabin (not my personal preference)
A great escape from Moab! by Kymberly 07/14/2020
If you are looking for a bit of an escape from Moab, look no further. After spending a few days in town, I wasn't ready to leave and booked this cabin last minute and I couldn't have been happier. It was in such a beautiful location- totally off grid- but the cabin had everything you could ever need. Will certainly stay here again!
Loved our stay here! by Phillip 07/14/2020
Loved our stay at this cabin. We had a blast soaking up the wildlife and the stars at night. Bonus for Cabin #1 was a little auxilary bunkhouse, which came in super handy since it snowed one night (in June!) during our stay. Bonus #2 was a little pond near by that is full of hungry trout. Bonus #3 was a "tree house" platform 40' up a huge Ponderosa Pine tree. The cabin was clean, and well provisioned...even with firewood, which we needed at night. Our host was friendly and communicative, and his dog (wolf) is super friendly. The property is located centrally between Moab and Needles...but still a fair drive to both. Guests will want to plan ahead as access to the cabin is on a rugged dirt road, which is well kept and marked, but I wouldn't want to try to find the place for the first time at night. Also, you are 30 minutes from nearest grocery or gas station. Bottom line for us was that it was a great escape. I would happily stay again.
Cabin in the sky by Katie 11/10/2019
Great out of the way spot- is literally a cabin in the sky!!
More spacious than expected by Garrett 11/10/2019
Jerry’s cabin was great. More spacious than I expected and in some amazing surroundings. Highly recommend.
Amazing time! by Paul 11/10/2019
We had an amazing time at this cabin. The area is beautiful and it's a pleasant place to get away. The only hiccup was that we arrived late at night and there was not firewood in the cabin. The wood stove is the only way to heat the place so had to go gather wood with our headlamps. Jerry did stop by the next day to provide more wood. Fun experience overall!
Very secluded and serene by Amanda 06/12/2019
Very secluded and serene. Cute balcony outlook between cabin 1 and 2 for coffee and birding. Careful on the road and follow the directions. If you go straight on thru the ranch sign and you're suddenly on a narrow one-car wide road, you're going the right way!
Very quaint by Michelle 05/20/2019
Directions to the cabin were a little sparce, you had to fill in the gaps with guesswork. Don't forget Hangdog Rd. Once at Wolf Springs Ranch the road back is not paved and has little gravel, 4 wheel drive is recommended and having a high vehicle will help navigate the ruts. Watch for deer as they are abundant. The cabin was quaint and well furnished, I would recommend bringing extra pillowcases as there were none on hand. There was plenty of kitchen supplies available for use. A stack of wood was ready outside for use in the stove which was nice as it did cool down during our stay. The other rentals on the property were spaced apart nicely so you didn't hear other cars or conversations. I recommend reading the binder on the table for more day trip ideas. Make sure you are out by 11am checkout time as the cleaners will be there at your door. There is no reception with Verizon and AT&T so forget your tablets and enjoy each other company. Brings cards or board games if you need something to do. This is a great way to reconnect with your loved one, disconnect from the rat race and enjoy God's creation around you. Go, you'll miss it as soon as you get back to reality.
Not very clean! by Jodi 10/31/2018
Stayed for 3 nights while exploring Moab area national parks. Pros: Property was quiet, peaceful and well stocked. Good value if you don’t mind a longer drive from Moab. Cons: The place was not cleaned very well. The floors were sandy. There was dust and cobwebs in the windows and trim. The gravel road to get there is rough and can be difficult for a small car. Be careful of deer while driving
Cabin switch... by Nicki 10/31/2018
The cabin itself was quite nice, but we rented a completely different space and were told two months after we bought our plane tickets from Canada that it was rented to someone else and we were to choose from three other locations, unfortunately none of which were quite like the first. It felt quite like a bait-and-switch, but at that point we had already paid for the unit and booked our flights. The cabin itself is nice if it's what you're looking to rent - very secluded area with a lot of beautiful wildlife around. It should be noted that some of the photos in the listing are of other cabins. The cabin is very clean but we'd suggest not arriving at night - The gravel roads most definitely require a vehicle with four wheel drive and we crossed at least half a dozen deer on our original drive up which would have been tough to do in the dark.
Isolated and peaceful by Polly 10/31/2018
We enjoyed the solitude and learned to do without technology. Really enjoyed the pond and feeding the fish. The drive way is a bit rough on a family car, but still it was a great experience. We stayed 2 nights each at 3 different cabins throughout Utah. This cabin was by far our favorite. Service, cleaning and process fees were somewhat extravagant, but it was still worth the cost.
Absolutely beautiful! by Alice 05/25/2018
Significantly further from Moab than advertised Amazing secluded cabin. Absolutely beautiful. Great for an off the grid retreat. Very cool place
Loved our experience with Canyonlands lodging. by Courtney 03/24/2018
The cabin was cozy and secluded, which was just what we were looking for! The owner was also very accommodating with anything that we needed, and truly made us feel welcome. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay, we will be back!
Awesome, private, quiet retreat! by Lizbeth 03/14/2018
Awesome, private, quiet retreat! Will absolutely be back! Jerry is a gracious host, super quick to answer, and while private and no cell signal, still felt like Jerry was around in case we needed him. Love the style of the signs on the property-thoughtful and well signed. Directions were great-print them like he advises!
Great cabin and had a wonderful stay! by Isaac 01/03/2018
Great cabin and had a wonderful stay! We loved the oil lamps and the woodstove. It wasn't easy to find the place when we arrived after dark. There isn't much cellphone service near the cabin. Highly recommended.
Nice quiet place to relax. by Chris 01/03/2018
Lovely quiet cabin. Bed was a bit worn out causing you to sink into the middle of the bed. Fridge didn’t seem to be working but it was nice and cold out so everything stayed cold in the cooler outside. Wood stove was great, but we did have to hunt around and find were they stored the wood to bring inside. Would have been nice to have a nice stack of wood waiting for us. All and all a great place and we would recommend it.
spectacular place to view the night sky. by Gigi Corpuz 10/24/2017
Beautiful place to refresh one’s mind and body. Wolf springs is a spectacular place to view the night sky. Thank you Jerry for creating a whole some place. Kudos for using solar power.
We loved our stay by Marci Madrigal 09/11/2017

“Amazing place for anyone look to get out away and into the fresh air. Beautiful location, can't beat the La Sals. And watching the sun set on Big Tuk every night made the stay. The property can accommodate big and small groups, this place is a gem. I highly recommend it. ”

Mo’s private feedback for you:

“We had an amazing stay, thank you so much!”
Place is very tranquil and peaceful. by Joshua 05/29/2017
Place is very tranquil and peaceful. It is truly a mountain retreat. There are cabins close by but not very visible through the trees. Bathroom is pretty cramped but other than that the cabin was great and definitely worth a stay.
Beautiful Place by Linda A 05/29/2017
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is in a beautiful spot on a secluded mountain top. The cabin is comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. It has a large deck with a grill. It was nice to take a walk in the woods. It is the perfect spot for anyone wanting to get away.
If you want a secluded get away this is it! by Joel 05/29/2017
If you want a secluded get away this is it! Bring what you need as nothing is close. All you will hear is the birds and the wind through the trees. VERY private! A real nice new cabin, with wood burning stove and all the comforts you would need. We loved it!
We were so lucky to have snagged this cabin last minute for a belated Mother's Day/early Birthday and it didn't disappoint. by Summer 05/22/2017
We were so lucky to have snagged this cabin last minute for a belated Mother's Day/early Birthday and it didn't disappoint. My husband was really impressed and we wish we would have had more time there. The location was so beautiful and a nice contrast from the desert and parks. I picked cabin #1 because of all the trees and I choose right! The deck and view were phenomenal. There was even a little bit of snow leftover and my toddler was so excited. Even though Moab was about 40 minutes away, it was SO worth it. The drive up and down was an adventure by itself. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! We hope we will be back soon
