Internet Service: If state-of-the-art electronic access and equipment is important to you on your vacation, this cabin is not for you. Once again, internet service can be weak and slow due to the fact that the only internet service available on the ranch is via satellite.

Please do not sit on the rock near or touch the windows. Please monitor children's’ activity when they are near the windows. You will be responsible for any damages.

Recreational opportunities near the ranch: Arches and Canyonlands national parks and Dead Horse Point State Park are popular places to visit in the Moab area. Recreational activities near the ranch include horse and mule rides from the ranch, hiking at Fisher Towers and Mary Jane Canyon nearby, and river rafting. If you are staying at the ranch and have booked a river trip on the daily section of the Colorado River, you may be able to coordinate transportation from Highway 128 near the boat ramps without having to drive into Moab. Discuss this option with the outfitter you are rafting with.

Pets: If you bring dogs to the ranch you will be charged an additional pet fee. Dogs must be on a leash at all times or under full-control voice command when you are walking on the ranch. Please clean up after your pets and collect and remove droppings from the property. Pets may not be left unattended in the Rockhouse. You may be billed for any damage. There are kennels available for your use.

Children should be carefully monitored at all times. The river and river banks are not safe places to play, and life jackets should be used at all times if you plan to be near the river. Swimming in the river is not advised. The rock formations on the ranch are fun to climb, but guests should use extreme caution and make sure to monitor children at all times. Guests may visit the horse and mule corrals. Again, use caution. People are responsible for their own safety on the ranch and the ranch will not be held liable for any accidents which might occur.

Fishing: If you wish to fish in the river, you must obtain a license from the State of Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. The most common fish is catfish, however, there are some protected fish species in the river.

Subject: Moab Rock House Review

Message: I stayed at the rock house over Christmas 2014. The views are breathtaking and the cabin is stunning! A gas BBQ is provided but I would recommend an outside wood fire pit, too. I recommend this place to anyone. NOTE: There is a fire pit right next to the Cabin. Glad you could be here and enjoy this with us!

We were a group of four who were completed bowled over by the uniqueness of the rock house. The location and the views which we woke up to each morning were truly spectacular! The cabin was very comfortable to house four people with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well equipped and served us well.

Overall, I'd love to come back to this place and experience the beauty of Moab all over again!!

Stayed at both the Moab Guesthouse (Nov-2012) and Rockhouse (Nov-2013). Both are in the stunning Castle Valley and although you can\'t walk to downtown or restaurants it is more than made up for by the views in and around the property. I would highly recomment either. For the Guesthouse, I think a couple (or maybe couple with a child) is about max but the house is exactly what you would need for a cabin feel. No full kitchen but other ammenities are more than adequate. For the Rockhouse, it is truly a stunning home and, as another reviewer noted, a rustic feel (which is partially why I liked it so much). I think some very small improvements would go a long way at the Rockhouse (including upgrade of cookware - due to being outside of town and guest needing to cook on site a good amount; better showerheads to improve water pressure - I fully understand its location and well water considerations but some cheaper pressure boosting showerheads would make a huge difference). Those just being recommendations and overall I would highly recommend a stay at either location in Castle Valley. The Rockhouse is truly unique and sitting in the dark watching the stars rotate around the huge window cannot be missed. Took advantage of trail rides both years and it was a pleasure to get the feel of the Ranch.

We stayed in the Moab Rockhouse for 3 nights in October. What an amazing place! Every morning we got up early to watch the sunrise on the mountains and we would climb up on the rocks and watch the sunset...breathtaking. It was so quite and peaceful. We also enjoyed our little visit from Luke (the owners dog)...he helped make us feel like we were at home with our dog. He walked the property with us and sat up on the rocks with us to watch the sunset. I would recommend this property to anyone! Thanks for a relaxing, peaceful anniversary get-a-way!

The Moab Rock House was awesome! Loved the scenery, and the big windows carved into the rock was a lot bigger than it appeared in pics. We all loved the house.

we\'ve spend 3 days with some friends & family in the Moab rock house. this was amazing !
the house is fantastic, and the environment is phenomenal.
It\'s just one of the greatest place I\'ve ever been in the world ...
thanks to the managers to have got the idea to make this house there.

Many times the pictures seen online of a location are extremely flattering to the property. The Moab Rock House was an exception. If possible, it was even better than the photos! It was beautiful inside and out and well-furnished with everything we needed. A main floor bathroom would have been nice, but the other 3 made up for it. The outside views are stunning as well as the view from the unique window inside.

I almost hesitate to leave a review because then more people will catch on to this place therefore making it harder to get a reservation! ;) What can I say about the Rock House? It's AMAZING! The views are to die for. You feel like you're in your own private National Park each morning you wake up. We enjoyed our extended weekend there so much. Thank you to John & Sena for their hospitality. The location is superb and they really take care of you on those horseback rides. LOVED IT!

My friends and I stayed at the Rockhouse April 11-14 for my brother's bachelor party weekend. We had an awesome time! The location from Moab and all of the surrounding sites/activities was ideal. The views in the canyon in the mornings and evenings was spectacular. The house itself was the best part of our trip. Never stayed inside of a rock before and the large glass window looking out was breathtaking when you walk in. The staff was great and provided everything we needed. My only recommendation would be to upgrade the silverware and cookware (old and needed more of it). Other than that, would recommend to anyone with family and/or friends to stay here in the future, I know I will be.

We had a FANTASTIC stay at the Moab Rockhouse. The amazing scenery, privacy, and unique house were a welcomed site after a hard day of mountain biking the rims of Moab. From the rental agent, cleanliness of the house to the friendliness of the ranch hands, it was a WONDERFUL experience!
