Fantastic view by Linda Sun 11/11/2017
Very spacious. Fantastic view. Far away from the neighbors. Quick response from the host. No problem finding it in the dark. There's a bedroom on each floor but only one bathroom on the main floor. Floor squeaks a little so tread lightly at night. (Hideout Ft Abajo).
Comfy little cabin with a lot of charm. The views and wildlife are amazing. by James Miller 10/27/2017
You can't go wrong with this hideout cabin for a visit to SE Utah. It was clean and well stocked. It is older but has many unique furnishings that make it nice. The view is great and the amount of wildlife is really amazing.

Can't wait to come back! by Juan Escalante 10/16/2017
This place is amazing! You seriously cannot beat the view at the ft abajo hideout. We stayed in this beautiful cottage and drove back into Moab for the National Park, shops, etc. Don't be fooled by the distance on the map - this amazing AirBB is worth every penny, as it is located in a sleepy/quiet town and has plenty of ammenities to make your travel experience even more momemorable. Can't wait to come back!

a great place to stay by Ray Tai 09/25/2017
It's a great place to stay. Lovely hideout home with great view. Jerry is easy to communicate with. It's not just a place to sleep, it's a great place to hang around and relax.
Extreme comfort by Paul Jaynes 09/22/2017
This Hideout cabin lacks nothing. It is peaceful and has a home comfort touch. Scenery is outstanding. Mule deer and wild turkey are an every day scene. I was watching deer a hundred yards from me an then saw three more in the yard. Wish I could stay longer.
cute and very clean! by Amanda Williams 09/20/2017
Incredible views! Ft Abajo House was cute and very clean!
Nice peaceful area to relax. by Randi Harvey 09/15/2017
Unfortunately, we had a 7-hour delay due to an accident so we arrived late. We did use the Pin in Google maps but still had a hard time locating the house in the dark. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful view when we woke up in the morning. I would try to schedule your arrival earlier to find the house easier. The Hideout Ft Abajo house had everything that we needed and we were greeted by wild turkeys, stellar blue jays and lots of deer. Nice peaceful area to relax.

The Hideout Ft Abajo was larger than expected, quiet, and the view was incredible!
Peaceful View by Kayla L 05/29/2017
My boyfriend and I stayed here one night in the midst of a week of adventures across southern Utah. The check in process was a piece of cake. The place looked exactly as advertised, offering a peaceful view of the mountains from the balcony. Inside was clean, very well maintained, and offered any amenities you might want for a short or long stay. The town was very small - we were able to get anything we needed at Dollar General, and also ordered some great pizza at Wagon Wheel. We definitely want to come back here if we can! Lovely getaway in Monticello.
Beautiful, Spacious, Clean by D Greig 05/22/2017

Scenic cabin, quiet and comfortable.
I'll be Back by Christopher 03/20/2017
Comfort and convenience is what we found at "Hideout Ft. Abajo." While many people miss an opportunity because they demand a 5 star resort for their vacations and getaways, we've learned to look for beauty in different locations. VRBO saved us from what would have been another boring weekend at home.

You can stay in the "trendy" tourist town of Moab, UT with everyone else or you can drive a little further to Monticello, UT and "get away" from the noise. Located 1 1/2 hours from Mesa Verde, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, this little cabin in Southeast Utah is the perfect "launching pad" for day trips in all directions.

The view off the front deck is fantastic, looking out over two fairways of the local golf course toward the snow capped mountains was awesome. (The golf course wasn't open in March so that's why I titled this review "I'll be Back.") The king size bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. I wished we didn't have to go downstairs to watch TV but then again, that's not a priority when traveling away from home.

Our reservation was completed on-line and the frequent email contacts with the responsive staff at Canyonlands Guest Ranch was reassuring for a successful and uneventful stay.

Thank you Kaeden and Jerry!
Enjoyed it Immensely by Eric 12/27/2016
We stayed at Fort Abajo Hideaway for 4 nights. It's a lovely home and we enjoyed it immensely. We would have liked there to be a snow shovel provided. We made due, however. The kitchen was great, very well stocked. So enjoyed the deer and wild turkeys! Thanks so much!!
Great View! by The Youngbloods 12/23/2016
Lots of amenities - free internet, wood fireplace, well stocked kitchen including coffee! Great reading lights. Nice bed. Highly recommend this location for one night or a full week. Great communications from the host, yet we had terrific privacy.
Cabin was Perfect by Greg and Nicole 11/08/2016
We had a fantastic stay. first night we settled in and had a Wagon Wheel pizza. Next we hike Corona Arch - very difficult but worthwhile. We also did a portion of a small hike in the afternoon. The next day we hike the "House on Fire" ruins. Great hike. This cabin has been perfect for our little getaway vacation. Thank you very much. Greg & Nicole.

Perfect Location by Ellen and Craig 11/02/2016
On a nat'l park bucket list trip. The cabin was the perfect location for our destinations and provided some peace and seclusion between Moab and the Grand Canyon. We took the train from NYC to Grand Junction then drove to Capital Reef and spent the night in Torrey. Sunday we hit Arches and then stayed two nights in Moab to see Canyonlands - Island in the Sky and Arches. Tuesday we drove to the Needles section and arrived here for two nights. Wednesday we went to Mesa Verde. well spend two nights in the GC and then head back to Utah to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion, staying three nights in another home away secluded house. Las stay is a night in Death Valley before fling home from LV. This was our first visit to UT and it's unbelievable how much space and natural beauty. Thanks for sharing your retreat. Ellen and Craig.

Helpful Staff by Frances H 10/27/2016
It is a wonderful home. Comfortable, good view, convenient to the National Parks. After tour the Monument Park stop here to have a rest and then go to Arches National Park. It's a good place to stop. The staff is so helpful. We check in late. It was already 6pm. We cannot find how to turn on the light in dining room. we called the office and Kaedan came her in 2 minutes. Thanks a lot. We will come back in future. Frances H.

Carlos y Ana, Spain by New Guest 10/06/2016
To stay in this house offer us, after a month of holiday in North America, the great opportunity to "live in a real American home" rather than to pass through a hotel (another one). Thank you, Jerry, very much. Great place, great people. Carlos y Ana, Spain.
All we hoped for! by Kevin and Mary 10/05/2016
Loved our stay and was all we were hoping for! So comfortable and relaxing - deer and turkey viewing was a great bonus. found the area hiking to be some of the best we've done - Bridges / Arches / Needles. Thanks for a great few days and memories we'll never forget. great place for my 50th! Kevin and Mary.
Thank You! by Mary and Mark 09/29/2016
Yesterday hiking in Needles Canyonlands was great but you could see the weather was changing. The rain came in last night. This cabin was a much better place to spend a couple of rainy days than a hotel! We read, played cards, turned the fireplace on an watched the turkeys and deer! We did get out for a drive to Natural Bridges and were fortunate for a break in the rain to hike to the bridges. Like the persona nature of this cabin. Thank you! Mary and Mark.
Fondly by Nora and Kevin 09/26/2016
Here for an overnight before back country hiking and camping in the Needles - Canyonlands. Hard to leave this cozy fort for the wilderness. Will think fondly of our stay here. Thank you. Nora & Kevin.

S Family from Chicago by From Chicago 07/27/2016
The temp rose to 106 degrees today. It did not stop us from having eh time of our lives in Canyonlands! There is an unmatched amount of natural wonder. We explored, climbed and learned. Not only did this place teach us about history, it taught us about ourselves. I am not a thrill seeker, but eh pull of making it up Wilson arch was too strong to fight. Forever I will remember watching the sunset while sitting on top flanked by my daughter and son. We enjoyed eating and shopping in Moab as well as Arches NP. Thank you for the use of your charming home. The S. Family from Chicago.
Enjoyed our Stay by Brattos and Sadomp Family 07/22/2016
We have enjoyed our stay in Ft. Abajo and Monticello. Today we went to the Four Corners Monument and stopped along each city on the way. Our favorite city was Bluff and we visited Fort Bluff. It was important to us because our ancestors (Holyoaks) went there on the "Hole in the Rock" trail and settled in Bluff and later in Moab. We will be visiting Arches and other national parks nearby tomorrow. Unfortunately no star watching for us as there is a full moon ;( Thank you for letting us stay! Brattos and Sadomp Family.
Outstanding Scenery by Ty 07/06/2016
Hello Sir, you have such a beautiful home. It was a pleasure staying here. The scenery in Utah is outstanding. Ty trip here was the first but definitely no the last. M. P.
Amazing Views by Phillips Family 07/06/2016
While we stayed here at the cottage we went to go see amazing views like the arches where we went hiking at night to the beautiful stars and arches. We went to go see Mesa Verde where we saw amazing houses built into the rock. Moab Utah was a really cool place to visit. It reminded me of Gatlinburg [TN] to be honest. We also went horseback riding in which we rode horses and Katelyn goa a nice sunburn. The people that were here during vacation were Michael, Mamaw, Anna, Katy, Sam, and me and Scarlett. Everything was good here, even Canyonlands was the

bomb.com. Anyway, thank you for letting us stay here. The Phillips Family. Ps, The golf coures under the stars is a great way to propose to someone...
Welcome Relief by Gregg Jennifer, Enoch 06/29/2016
We've been camping our way from MA, and made this our last stop before reaching the Grand Canyon. What a welcome relief Fort Abajo has been! We had a wonderful night here, relaxing and taking the beauty from the porch. A quick storm passed over the hills and gave us a pretty lightning show. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay here! We loved inspecting the various rocks, bones, and fossils you have here. We took some fun photos and will share them at the email address provided with your instructions. Thank you! Gregg, Jennifer, Enoch.
Very well maintained by The Yentsch Family 06/26/2016
While we stayed at Fort Abajo we visited Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. At Arches we hiked: Northand South Windows, Turret Arch Double Arch and Devils Garden to Tunnel, Pine Tree, and Landscape Arch. Then at Canyonlands we hiked: Elephant Hill to Chesler Park, and drove to see petrogypyhs, Eva, age 11. When we arrived we had LOPTS of The house was some welcome respite from our days of hiking. The house was very well maintained and full of history. Thanks for the Coffee supplies. The Yentsch Family, Chicagoland.

Really Enjoyed our Time by Ben and Jodi 05/20/2016
We only had one night in your cozy little home, but we really enjoyed our time here. The home was clean and full of fun collectibles for our boys. The house has a happy spirit with good vibes. It has a very different feel from the other vacation rentals we stayed in in the past. Most were very nice, but impersonal. I like seeing the evidence of a family's connection to the property. It is neat to see the story told through the geology and other collectibles. My family was very happy and comfortable here. If you ever decide to sell call us. Thank you, Ben and Jodi
Love the Deer by Linda and Clark 05/18/2016

A Good Place by The Agarwals 05/16/2016
We got this accommodation by chance. We stayed here - it is a good place, absolutely silent, nice view but too lonely. Food is a problem here because there are few around here. On the whole we enjoyed our stay. The Agarwals
